Tracee & Colby in Rosemary Beach, FL

Tracee & Colby in Rosemary Beach, FL

Location:
Tracee carried a lush bouquet of white peonies, calla lilies and stock. Her favorite part of the bouquet was a handkerchief with the initials of all the women in Colby‘s family who had carried it before her.
The bridesmaids were allowed to choose their own dresses, so Tracee‘s sister, Jamee, wore a chocolate brown v-neck and her other bridesmaid, Courtney, went with a strapless tea-length dress.
Tracee was barefoot for the ceremony and most of the reception, but when shoes were absolutely necessary, she‘d slip into a pair of metallic sandals.
Tracee and Colby exchanged traditional vows under a canopy made of bamboo. The couple wrote a paragraph each about why they chose to spend the rest of their lives together and shared them with guests.
Instead of escort cards, Tracee and Colby gave each guest a timeline of seven significant moments in their relationship called "Meet the Mossellers."
Guests drank and danced on a green lawn overlooking the ocean. Chinese lanterns were hung directly over the dance floor beneath the structured tent.
Beachy decorations like lanterns, plaster seashells, votives and local finds like a wicker starfish served as centerpieces.
The four-tiered wedding cake was coated with buttercream frosting and decorated with chocolate ribbon and orchids. On the side of the cake was a topper from Colby‘s family representing over 130 years of marriage.
Tracee and Colby swayed to "Better Together" by Jack Johnson for their first dance. The last song of the night was "Dancing on the Ceiling" by Lionel Richie. Afterwards, guests lined up on the dance floor and blew bubbles while the couple made their exit.
Tracee was working as a bartender when she met Colby, who was out for a drink. When she closed his tab, she looked at his driver's license and told him the photo "does him no justice." Colby took the hint and asked for her number, which she wrote on a napkin. It wasn't until three months later that they actually went out on a date, and two years before he got down on one knee.

The proposal took place under a gazebo after they had gone out to dinner in Austin. The Texan couple quickly agreed on a destination wedding, and decided Florida the perfect spot.
