Location: Crescent Beach Club
In keeping with their seaside locale, the couple sent out fun message-in-a-bottle invitations.
As a tribute to her late grandparents, Lauren wrapped a strand of her grandmother‘s pearls attached to her grandfather‘s World War II dog tags around her hand and cascading phalaenopsis bouquet.
The bridesmaids carried oversized arrangements of green pom poms, berries and bear grass. Lauren let the girls choose their own cream colored dresses.
Casey wore a single white phalaenopsis orchid while his groomsmen donned sprigs of green berries on their lapels.
Lauren not only planned the wedding, she designed her dream gown using three unique layers of crinkled silk, sheer silk and silk tulle. The back plunged to her waistline, which was accented with a burnt orange Swarovski encrusted velvet belt that knotted in the back.
Lauren and Casey stood beneath two giant palms on a sunny picture perfect day. They exchanged vows on a private strip of beach over looking the Long Island Sound.
The aisles were lined with hurricane lamps filled with candles, sand and shells. Each chair was topped with a rattan fan to help keep guests cool.
Inside the beach club, guests were greeted with tropical arrangements of greens, shells and starfish.
The tables were topped off with various shaped glass vases filled with birds of paradise, palm aspidistra leaves, bells of Ireland and green goddess calla lilies. Small bowls of gold fish were also used as focal points on each table.
Lauren and Casey cut into a four-tiered cake that was a slice of tropical paradise. White pearlized chocolate shells draped down the side of the sweet vanilla and chocolate layers.
Lauren and Casey shared their first dance to Snow Patrol‘s song "Chasing Cars." Earlier, during cocktail hour, guests grooved to the Caribbean tunes of a Jamaican band.
The couple wanted to give their guests a relaxing gift to remember their day. Lauren chose a spa package of seashell tea candles, shell soaps and a sea sponge. She wrapped them up in a burlap bag and topped them off with a large shell.
The first time Casey saw Lauren, she was doing handsprings on the lawn of the Maryland Institute College of Art, where they were both students. Casey's heart did some flipping on its own and he decided right then that she was the woman he would marry. After four years and a long platonic friendship, Casey finally made his feelings known. It took seeing Lauren dancing with one of his friends, to get him to swoop in and plant that first kiss.

They dated for several years and finally settled down together in New York City. After Casey proposed, it took only ten months to plan the beachfront wedding of their dreams.
